Scheduled to be held in Sanya, Hainan Province, China from December 1 to 6, 2026, the event is jointly organized by the Conference Organizing Committee and the IMGA Working Group on GeoHealth of the International Medical Geology Association. We sincerely invite you to participate.
First launched in Galway, Ireland in 2012, the International Symposium on Environment and Health (ISEH) has evolved through years of dedicated development into a high-end global academic platform for environment and health research. It brings together multidisciplinary scientists, industrial consulting specialists, and public administration practitioners from across the world. Adhering to the consistent mission of the symposium series, ISEH 2026 adopts the theme: One Earth, One Health, One Future. This grand convention will assemble distinguished experts at home and abroad to explore cutting-edge frontiers in environment and health. Participants will share the latest research findings, showcase advanced research methodologies and technologies, analyze emerging industry trends, and outline research priorities for the years ahead. Serving as a vital communication bridge, the symposium aims to foster in-depth academic exchanges and tangible collaborations between global researchers and industry practitioners. It seeks to formulate innovative solutions to regional and worldwide environmental health challenges, and facilitate the creation of new comcepts and frameworks for sustainable healthy development.
Aligned with the core tenets of environmental governance and universal health outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the conference directly addresses the global imperative of mitigating environmental health risks. At present, environmental pollution stands as a major hazard to human health. Amid rapid industrialization and economic expansion, numerous developing economies grapple with compound pollution of air, water and soil, with persistent contaminants imposing chronic adverse impacts on public well-being. Against this backdrop, pursuing sustainable pathways that balance ecological conservation and population health protection, deploying state-of-the-art science and technology to curb pollution, and break the transmission chain of environment-induced illnesses represent a universal consensus of the international community. These practical measures are also indispensable for fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, forming the core motivation behind hosting ISEH 2026.
